During the presentation of the 10th Vicente del Bosque Youth Football Tournament ‘Villa de Alalpardo’, the Madrid football community expressed its support for the idea of the city hosting the Copa del Rey final.
Following numerous issues publicly raised by Atlético Madrid fans, both in the Fan Zone and around the La Cartuja stadium, which led to the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) demanding explanations from the Seville City Council and the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the Madrid football representatives gathered at the Alalpardo Cultural Center showed their backing for Madrid to once again be the venue for the cup final.
In this regard, they highlighted the quality of Madrid’s stadiums as suitable for hosting such a major event.

This idea was also well received by the Mayor of Madrid, Martínez-Almeida, and Mariano de Paco, the Regional Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Community of Madrid. Both emphasized that, given the city’s experience in hosting major events, Madrid is an appropriate location for the Copa del Rey final.
