Mbappe shared a picture of the match on television with the short caption: “Hala Madrid.”
The post quickly drew backlash from frustrated Real Madrid fans, who were already upset with the team’s performance and the loss of the league title. Among those criticizing Mbappe was well-known journalist Tomas Roncero, who was clearly unimpressed by the timing.
“Kylian is having a laugh at all of us,” Roncero wrote on his official X account.
According to reports from Spain, Mbappe pulled out just minutes before the end of Saturday’s final training session due to an injury, which has sparked growing speculation around the club. As a result, he avoided traveling to Barcelona for one of the most difficult nights of the season for Real Madrid, as their biggest rivals celebrated another La Liga title in front of their own supporters.
While his teammates witnessed Barcelona’s celebrations at Camp Nou, Mbappe watched from afar. Still, his social media activity during the game ensured that attention once again shifted toward the French star, whose recent actions continue to divide opinion among sections of the Real Madrid fanbase.
