The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of linebacker Larry Worth III to a three-year contract on Monday. To make room on the roster, the team placed linebacker Milo Eifler on waivers.
Worth III (6’4″, 226 lbs) appeared in 47 games (21 starts) across four seasons at Jacksonville State (2022-23) and Arkansas (2024-25). During his collegiate career, he recorded 201 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss, six passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one interception. At Arkansas in 2025, Worth started 11 of 12 games and compiled 64 tackles, one pass defended, and 0.5 tackle for loss. In 2024, he made five starts over 13 games, totaling 54 tackles, two passes defended, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and 0.5 sack. During the 2023 season at Jacksonville State, Worth started five of 13 games and posted 63 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, two passes defended, one interception, and one forced fumble. In 2022, he played nine games and recorded 20 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, one pass defended, and one forced fumble.
Eifler (6’2″, 225 lbs) originally signed a reserve/future contract with San Francisco on January 7, 2026.
