In a recent interview with Suqian News, the young shot-stopper shared his journey of staying true to his local team and defending the honor of his hometown.
As a key figure in Suqian’s starting lineup this season, Yin Jun’s return has captured widespread attention. Growing up in the Suyu District of Suqian, he first fell in love with football during his elementary school years at Daxing Central Primary School. The moment he stepped onto the pitch as a child, he was hooked by the sport’s energy and competitive spirit. Through middle school, he dedicated his free time to relentless training—running, diving, and making saves regardless of the weather. Football became an inseparable part of his youth.
Since the new season kicked off, Yin Jun has made three appearances for Suqian. On the field, he remains calm under pressure, making precise saves and anchoring his team’s defense. He recalls his most memorable moment during a match against Yancheng: “An opponent took a powerful long-range shot just outside the box. It came fast and close, but I stayed focused and managed to push it out with one hand.”
