Despite some physical issues during the season, the Brazilian center-back played a key role in the championship campaign. With Éder Militão sidelined due to injury, a gap has opened in Brazil’s defensive setup, and the experienced Silva could emerge as a reliable option.

During an interview with TNT Sports, Silva was asked about the possibility of playing in the 26/27 Champions League with Porto after their direct qualification. Instead of focusing on that, he quickly turned the conversation toward the Brazilian national team.
“We still have two games to play, to be in shape to maybe represent Brazil in another World Cup. I am fully available. I think the boss (Ancelotti) knows me well enough to know my commitment,” he said.
“I’m not forcing anything. I said the same thing last time. I’m just enjoying the moment, making the most of it. My career has been beautiful. If there’s another World Cup, we’ll be together. If not, I’ll be grateful for everything I’ve been through—incredible moments,” Silva concluded.
